You know those phrases.. no guts, no glory... no pain, no gain. They remind us that any dream worth dreaming, any endeavor worth pursuing is going to cost us something. We may need to give up our comfort, our control, our sense of equilibrium in order to reach the goal or attain the heights upon which we set our sights. So be it. Most times the journey is just as important as the destination....the process as important as the end product. The most important thing is that we don't give up what is most important... our relationship with God, our integrity, our Truth. Here is a prayer that helps and there are many versions of it. It may help to keep you focused on what is important.

God has created me to do some definite service

God has committed some work to me which He has not committed to another

I have my mission….I am a link in a chain a bond of connection between persons

God has not created me for naught I shall do good- I shall do God's work

I shall be an angel of peace

a preacher of truth in my own place while not intending it

if i do but keep the commandments

Therefore I will trust God
